England Made Me
All about England
One of Liverpool’s most recent tourist attractions with a Beatles association is number 20, Forthlin Road in the district of Allerton.
This 1930’s terraced home was the childhood home of Paul McCartney, and it is here that the band members often met to play and write their songs in the early days.
Today the house is a National Trust property and it has been restored to how it would have been when Paul lived there as a boy.
As well as typical mid 20th century furniture and furnishings, the house contains all manner of Beatles memorabilia, and it is one of the city’s most interesting Beatles attractions.
20 Forthlin Road is open daily except Mondays between April and October, and on Saturdays only for the rest of the year.
Opening hours vary according to day and time of year so do check in advance.
