England Made Me

All about England

Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral is located on Hope Street, to the south of the city centre.

Finally completed in 1978, this is the largest Cathedral in Britain, and the fifth largest Cathedral in the world.

The exterior is impressive enough, but the airy interior is also worth a look. And if you are fit and healthy you can climb to the top of the 300ft high tower for some impressive views across the city skyline.

The Anglican Cathedral is open to the public daily from 8am to 6pm. A donation is requested and there is a charge to go up the tower.

Liverpool’s Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral can be found nearby by heading to the north, along Hope Street.
