One of the main attractions of Bournemouth is, of course its miles of sandy beaches that stretch right along the front of the town for seven miles.

Bournemouth Beach is one of the south coast’s premier beaches and it has been awarded a coveted blue flag for its excellent standards of cleanliness and facilities.

It also offers safe bathing, with marked off areas indicating “safe swimming” areas, and a patrol of lifeguards on hand in case of problems.

It is worth noting that the beach is divided up into different areas in order to appeal to all tastes. For example, there is a no smoking zone, and a dog free zone, but also a designated smoking area.

There is also plenty to do along the beach; for example you could have a go at windsurfing or jet skiing and if that sounds to energetic, how about a relaxing boat trip?

And of course there is the Pier, which has attractions ranging from a theatre to street entertainers and even a kids club.
