England Made Me

All about England

Brighton Fishing Museum can be found at 201 Kings Road Arches, between the Palace and West Piers.

The Museum is open at weekends from Easter until September. Opening hours vary so do check in advance. Admission is free.

It is dedicated to Brighton’s fishing heritage for long before Brighton was a popular seaside resort it was a thriving fishing village.

The Fishing Museum houses photos, film clips and all manner of other memorabilia from the town’s fishing industry. Pride of place is taken by a “Clinker” – a traditional Sussex fishing boat.
