Bristol Zoo is in Clifton, home to over 1000 species of animals. The grounds are particularly attractive, the zoo being set in 12 acres of landscaped gardens.
Bristol Zoo is open daily from 9am to 6pm in the summer and from 9am to 5pm in the winter.
The Zoo is also particularly noteworthy for being at the forefront of research, education and conservation, for example it participates in a wide variety of breeding programmes.
