England Made Me

All about England

Bristol’s Maritime Heritage Centre can be found on the quayside of the Great Western Dock, next to the SS Great Britain.

The Maritime Heritage Centre is open to the public daily from 10am to 5.30pm from April to September, and from 10am to 4.30pm October to March. Admission is free.

This is where you can find out all about Bristol’s maritime history, and its extensive shipbuilding tradition. And there is also an exhibition about the SS Great Britain covering everything from its construction to its recent restoration.
