Plan on having a theme for your party. Ghostship, witches castle, are a couple of examples. We had a theme that we call fractured fairy tales. Each room in the house was a different fairy tale.

Kitchen, Hansel & Gretal - food, had mask (in window) and fingers stuck in door of oven, I was the “cook”. Also it’s where all the goodies were laid out. Garage was Alice in Wonderland with a Mad Hatter tea party, Queen of hearts “off with their heads” with a mad Alice & White Rabbit. Family room was Little Miss Muffet.

Whole room had the spiders all over ceiling and any kind of spider decoration we could find. Living room was Rumpelstilskin & Sleeping Beauty. Rumpel was an ogre looking person & SB had sausage intestines laying on her dead body. In front yard was Wizard of Oz (not exactly a fairy tale but close enough) with monkey eating head of scarecrow and we had Pumpkin head (original Wizard of Oz) greeting guests.
