England Made Me

All about England

Halloween (All Hallow’s Eve) actually has Christian roots – it means “holy evening.” November 1st is All Saint’s Day, and November 2nd is All Soul’s Day, so Halloween is a pre-celebration of those who have passed on.

Halloween is the evening that the souls of the dead return to mingle with the souls of the living, prior to the church’s formal celebration of the dead. Halloween has been celebrated since ancient times.

So actually, Halloween should be a celebration for Christians!
