England Made Me
All about England
HMS Belfast was the biggest and most powerful warship in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. However at the very start of the war it was hit by a mine and so it spent over two years of the war being repaired.
After the war HMS Belfast remained in service for several years until it was finally decommissioned after the Korean War.
Now it is permanently moored in Southwark, and is part of the Imperial War Museum. You can visit, among other areas, the engine room, the mess decks and the sick bay.
