This 54-acre park, located to the north-west of Kensington High Street, was once the parkland that belonged to Holland House. There are some beautiful formal flower gardens in the park, some dating back to the early 19th century, which contrast beautifully with the wilder wooded areas.

The main house was bombed during the Second World War, and only the east wing survived. Situated away from the main house, the Garden Ballroom, the Orangery and the Ice House also survived the war and are now put to public use in a variety of ways.

The park provides a variety of services and attractions including a youth hostel and children’s playground. In addition there is an open-air theatre that holds performances throughout the summer months, and the Orangery and the Ice House are occasionally the venues for contemporary art exhibitions. The Garden Ballroom, which dates from the 17th century, is now the Belvedere restaurant.

Holland Park is open daily from 7.30am until dusk.
