England Made Me

All about England

Here’s some really good diy Halloween costume ideas and tips on how to be a baby in a baby carriage:

Since this is a one shot deal, I’d make it out of a cardboard box.Get one that is rectangular shaped.

Fold in all the flaps to the inside for stability.Paint the carriage body on the box.Cut the wheels out of fomcore board and attach to the sides. For the hood use tag board.

You’ll probably have to attach 2 sheets together and fiddle some to get the shape right. For the handle, use the foam insulation that goes around pipes, cut to length and attached to either side.

Now for the hard to explain part. Stand your kid inside the box, holding the thing in the right place, mark where shoulder straps(using ribbon or some such thing) would be.

The kid will have to stand about in the middle for proper balance with the hood in the back and the handle in the front. Once you have the proper lenght for the straps, construct them out of some sturdy material.Attach firmly.

Try on again and find out where to attach the cross straps to keep it all on her shoulders (think the letter”H” or how a bra works).
