England Made Me

All about England

The obvious one is the opening prologue but there is also the tension built up for the reader in that romeo kills Juliet’s beloved cousin and is banished leaving her heart broken on her wedding night (this makes the reader want to resolve the issue) and the fact that romeo does not get the friars letter and goes in search of Juliet’s body in despair (this has the reader shouting no romeo she’s not dead!) .
this tension builds up in the reader and makes the ending more tragic because as an audience we want everything to work out. we have built up a rappor with R&J and feel for them in their quest to be together. Everything is stacked against them therefore we should not be supprised it doesnt work out but we still are in the end (even though we have been told in the beginning lol)
