England Made Me

All about England

Southampton University Medical School was excellent for medical students. It has a very good reputation.

Go for the well-established “red brick” universities, not the ones that used to be “colleges” or “polytechnics” (not that many of those are even capable of running a Med School).

There is a very high standard for entry into all medical schools – only the very best grades will get you in! It is also highly likely that they will assess your personality as well – Med School requires long hours of work and imposes considerable stress on students. You must be calm under pressure, a good communicator and able to get on well with others.

From my recollections, the ability to drink incredible amounts of alcohol is also important…
