England Made Me
All about England
Liverpool’s Walker Art Gallery is situated on William Brown Street to the north of the city, next to the Liverpool Museum and William Brown Library.
First opened in 1877, the museum houses a superb collection of national and international art dating from the 14th century right up until the present day.
Highlights of the gallery include the Italian Renaissance collection, the post-Impressionist gallery and its contemporary art collections.
However there is also an excellent sculpture gallery and a whole series of galleries devoted to the decorative arts.
The Walker Art Gallery is open from 10am to 5pm Mondays to Saturdays and from noon to 5pm on Sundays. Admission is free.
