Here’s some Warm Halloween costume ideas for babies:

1.If you use something for the head, you can decorate/make something to cover the ears. use warm, thicker tights. depending on your sewing ability, you may could try making the wings more of a cape (maybe made of felt or something warm and fuzzy)…but have it so the “cape” can pop up into wings (like have piping in it for when people are seeing her/him so they see fairy wings but letting the cape drape her/him when ya’ll are going from place to place).

2.The costume itself doesn’t have to be warm as long as she’s dressed warmly underneath. Put her/him in a onesie and put some tight pants over it along with a nice warm shirt.

3.If your dressing your little guys as something that doesnt come as a full outfit, that you can put clothes on under,then have 2 costumes, 1 for playtime or halloween parties, and the other/him warmer one for trick or treating.

4.Start with a set of white sweats (slightly over-sized in case you need to add warm clothes underneath. Add wings made from light weight wire covered with guilt cloth to back of shirt.Create skirt of same cloth and tie at waist with glittery shoe strings.Go crazy on front of shirt with glittery sew-ons.Add magic wand made from small dowel (blunt on both ends!) and a poof of gilt material streamers on top, covering the rod with glittery paper.A little tiara or crown completes the outfit.

5.Dress her/him up as a sheep instead. Then you can layer as much as you want on her/him.

6.Dress as a fully-dressed fairy. A fairy whose dress is beautiful and elegant, long sleeves and elegant little boots. Try to think of a winter fairy. Winter fairies wouldn’t wear the stuff that tinkerbell wears.

7.Use ther/himmals ther/hime tighter then sweats and easier to move in. Try LL bean. Or target and wall mart carry the Gerber brand in a variety of colors!

8.Make a fairy costume with long sleves for starters so you can put a long sleve shirt underneith it so no one wont noticed and then have her/him wear tights(look for the thick cotton tights if they make them anymore).Have the baby wear some boots to go with it to keep her/him feet warm(also you can throw on a pair of socks too cause the boots will cover the socks so no one wont notice).If the baby is going as a colorfull fairy get some dress gloves to put on baby’s hands to keep them warm.that should help her/him keep pretty warm but bring a coat just incase you never know it might rain or get windy that night.
